Digital Download Licence

1. Introduction
This Digital Download Licence ("Licence") governs the use of all downloadable resources made available by The Development Room CPD ("we", "us", "our") through our website at https://www.thedevelopmentroomcpd.co.uk.
By downloading, accessing or using any of our digital resources, you agree to comply with this Licence.
2. Ownership of Intellectual Property
All downloadable resources remain the intellectual property of The Development Room CPD.
This includes, but is not limited to:
PowerPoint presentations
Facilitator guides
Staff handouts
Leadership implementation documents
Teaching resources
Classroom materials
Graphics and illustrations
Logos and branding
Templates
PDFs
Downloadable documents
Videos and other digital media
Downloading a resource does not transfer ownership or copyright to you.
You are purchasing (or receiving through membership) a licence to use the resource, not ownership of the resource itself.
3. Licence Granted
Subject to compliance with this Licence, The Development Room CPD grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the downloaded resources.
This licence permits you to:
Download and save resources for your own use.
Print resources where appropriate.
Use resources within your own classroom.
Deliver staff training using the materials.
Share resources internally with colleagues covered by your school's or organisation's membership.
Adapt resources to meet the needs of your own pupils, staff or organisation.
This licence does not permit ownership or unrestricted distribution of our resources.
4. School and Organisation Memberships
Where a school, academy trust or organisation has purchased a membership, downloaded resources may be used internally by staff covered by that membership.
Resources may be stored on secure internal systems such as:
Microsoft SharePoint
Microsoft Teams
Google Drive
Internal school servers
Secure staff shared drives
School learning platforms restricted to authorised staff
Resources must not be made publicly accessible.
5. What You May Not Do
Unless we have provided written permission, you must not:
Sell or resell any resource.
Give copies to individuals outside your licensed organisation.
Upload resources to public websites.
Share resources on social media.
Upload resources to file-sharing websites.
Upload resources to marketplaces or resource-sharing platforms.
Remove copyright notices or branding.
Claim our resources as your own work.
Redistribute downloaded files outside your licensed organisation.
Include our resources within products or services that are sold commercially.
Create competing products based substantially on our resources.
6. Personal Memberships
Where an individual purchases a personal membership, downloaded resources are licensed solely to that individual.
Personal memberships must not be shared with:
colleagues;
schools;
academy trusts;
training providers;
consultants;
third parties.
If wider organisational use is required, an appropriate organisational membership must be purchased.
7. Modification of Resources
You may customise resources for internal educational purposes.
Examples include:
adding your school's logo;
editing examples;
adapting activities;
changing colours or fonts;
removing slides not relevant to your audience.
However, modified versions remain derived from The Development Room CPD's original work and continue to be protected by copyright.
Modified resources may not be redistributed outside your licensed organisation.
8. Copyright Notice
All copyright, trademarks and intellectual property rights remain the property of The Development Room CPD unless otherwise stated.
Any copyright notices contained within our resources must remain intact.
9. Monitoring and Misuse
We reserve the right to investigate suspected breaches of this Licence.
Where misuse is identified, we may:
suspend membership access;
terminate memberships;
refuse future purchases;
request removal of unauthorised copies;
pursue legal remedies where appropriate.
10. No Transfer of Rights
This Licence is personal to the purchaser (or licensed organisation).
It may not be transferred, assigned, sublicensed or otherwise provided to another individual or organisation without our written permission.
11. Updates to Resources
From time to time we may update, improve or replace downloadable resources.
Where your membership includes access to updates, revised versions will be made available through your membership area.
We do not guarantee that every resource will receive ongoing updates.
12. Disclaimer
Our resources are designed to support professional development and educational practice.
While every effort is made to ensure accuracy, users remain responsible for applying professional judgement and ensuring resources are suitable for their own setting.
Educational guidance and statutory requirements may change over time.
13. Changes to This Licence
